Today we are once again graced with the presence of actual physical football competition at the college level in the form of the Senior Bowl - a college football all-star game that seniors use to showcase their talent one last time on the field of play before strolling off into the deep, dark NFL draft. Kickoff is set for 3 pm, and the official website for the game is saying it will be aired on the NFL Network. In other words, I will not be watching.
If you take a look at the 2007 Senior Bowl rosters, you will see four Gators: Chris Leak, Dallas Baker, Earl Everett and Ray McDonald - who are obviously all playing on the South squad.
It has been reported that QB Troy Smith, who is on the North roster, is in fear of a helmet-less Earl Everett tracking him down; therefore he has requested to take refuge in the locker room while Earl is on the field. Smith has already tried wearing a different helmet and playing under an alias, but Mr. Everett saw right through that.
If you actually get the NFL Network, I would suggest watching it to check out how our Florida guys are doing. If not, just browse the internet all day reading recruiting rumors. They're just as fun as actual competition on the field sometimes.
