Syracuse vs. Florida Preview

It is not yet Thanksgiving and the Florida Gators have now ended their high school schedule and play a real basketball team tonight.

Syracuse is shooting about 50%, better than the Gators who crapped the bed shooting-wise last week against Southern Utah. Florida will have to watch for Syracuse guard Jonny Flynn who is averaging 20 ppg. The Orange have not been tested either, so Nick Calathes and company present the same issue. The are a bit older than the Gators, so experience could determine the winner.

This game is the semifinal of the CBE Classic in Kansas City. The winner plays the winner of Kansas-Washington.

I want Kansas if we win.

Always fun to see what you can do vs. previous champs.

Anybody else feel like Calathes's passes are so great that the players around him have to play at a heightened level to receive them?

jeez

We still get completely dominated inside. Parsons is still a chucker. Tyus is waaaaaaayy better though. I thought he was terrible last year. I do have a couple of good freshman. I like that Walker kid. Where are Kadji and Vargas?

oh yeah

Walter Hodge was completely worthless tonight. So much for senior leadership.

I take back some of my Tyus kudos above

During crunch time, when we had a chance to win, he looked completely lost and weak on the boards, a reversion to his 2007 performance.
