Gators Win SEC Championship Game

Florida Gators defeat Alabama Crimson Tide 31-20.

I believe in God, Jesus and Timmy Tebow.

For all the talk about Alabama's advantage upfront, the Gators outrushed Bama and shutout Bama in 2 of 4 quarters. And I don't want to hear any crap about Tebow never winning a game in the fourth quarter. Timmy Tebow put this team on his back and carried them to Atlanta and now he should be carrying them to Miami.

That's all I have for right now. Go out and celebrate, but celebrate safely. Tomorrow is a big day too.

Congratulations from a Texas fan

Great win. I think Texas got hosed and I believe we really deserve some justice from the football gods. However, while I’d be thankful for a shot at another national title, I would not feel that great about getting that by screwing another team like Florida.

If there is justice in the world, the two best teams in the country will face in Miami: Texas and Florida. Unfortunately, Missouri has about a 1% chance of winning tonight.

If you face OU, do us a favor: Don’t judge the entire Big 12 on OU’s overrated defense. Texas has a better all-around squad.

Oh boy Oklahoma might wanna trade places with Texas. Or combine their teams into some super team. Alabama looked MUCH more impressive than I have seen Oklahoma.

But lets be real here. This was the REAL NC game.

Great game, and to any straggler Bama fans—-awesome game. Glad noone got seriously hurt. Andre Smith better be a Seahawk next year. Amazing footwork and pure skill. I watched him the entire game to ‘scout’ (im a draft tornado)…and my goodness. Its like watching a young Orlando Pace or Walter Jones.

He’s being a pain in the ass. They played an epic game though.

Yeah I saw two guys bitching about penalties.

Anyone who thinks this game was decided by refs is delusional. There were a couple major calls that weren’t called on Alabama that was obvious.

I feel the refs were subpar in this game. But in the end…Alabama made us look unlike ourselves in the first half, and were able to pull it out. Great game, and while the refs werent very good, I feel they were equally subpar towards both teams.

Awesome game with old school physicality to it. The refs let them play. This game will be remember for a long time to come.

I have to admit, I kinda thought the Tide would sweep us away, but damn I can’t believe the guys pulled it through. Bama, I had your respect, and you played a hell of a game, but man does it feel great. to. be. a. Florida. Gator!!!!!!! Truly I have to respect Alabama, you guys gave it everything!

AWESOME JOB!

Tebow was outstanding! I know he doesn’t have the #s from last year, but I think he has been much more impressive this year. He has stepped up and carried this team. He’s a leader and a winner. He really should be seriously considered for the Heisman.

I am so happy right now. Not only should UF be looking at a Nat’l Championship but UF went into Atlanta and smacked Satan in the mouth. Awesome!

As a Phins fan, I hope this trip to Miami will let the coaches decide that they can’t miss an opportunity to pickup a talent like him and they shoudl draft him (if he declares), even though we have needs elsewhere. He’s upside and leadership is huge.

Great game guys!

It came down to who made the fewest mistakes, and Florida played a practically perfect game. Bama just made a couple of mistakes that gave Florida good field position and made a couple of penalties that kept a couple of drives alive and turned out to kill us.

The only thing really that I didn’t like was the player stomping on one of our players at the end of the game. Not sure what happened, but that was uncalled for. Wish that hadn’t happened.

Anyway, good game, and hope to see y’all in Atlanta next year. Roll Tide.

Hey Gators! Great game!

With all of the press on the SEC being down, it was nice to have a game that says “shut up!” Both teams were great and you guys just came out on top. Congrats! Just 12 months ‘till we see ya’ll there again, right?

please don’t take this the wrong way, but you need to look at the rushing stat again. yes Florida outrushed Bama, but it was only by 6 yards. Add to the fact that y’all rushed it 9 more times than Bama did. Bama had a better yards per carry average.

Anyway, maybe i’m being nit-picky, but if anything, the lines were about even, you can’t really give the advantage to either team based on that game.

I understand that, but coming in with Bama having an All-American on each line, it was like Florida was screwed. Really the better stat was that Bama and Florida had only one sack each. The offensive lines dominated.
