The Florida Gators have been given a two seed. In the NIT. I'll pause to let the applause die down.

The Gators play Wednesday night at 9pm on ESPN2 against 7 seed San Diego State. The Aztecs finished 20-12 (9-7 MWC) and was ousted in the second round of the Mountain West tourney. They are led by 6-6 Lorrenzo Wade, who averages 14.9 a game. Also in the front court is 6-8 Ryan Amoroso, who averages 11.2 a game. The Aztecs average 67.3 points per game, so they'll probably score 77 in Gainesville.
The Gators are in a bracket with Arizona State as the top seed. (The NIT brackets teams in groups of eight.) The winner of the SDSt.-Florida game would get the winner of Rhode Island-Creighton, the 6-3 matchup. ASU gets Alabama State, and Southern Illinois plays Oklahoma State in the 4-5 game.
I can't imagine what practice is going to be like tomorrow for UF. Billy is going to run them through sprints and yell, "I'm not excited about next year!" Or maybe it'll be like in "Hoosiers" when they don't practice with a ball. Hopefully, Billy will let them know that the two NIT finalists last season (Clemson and West F'ing Virginia) are in the Big Dance now. Also, the NIT finals are at the Mecca; Madison Square Garden. Where would you rather spend a few days in April? New York or San Antonio? That's what I thought. Let's get positive people!
