Basketball Begins Tonight, Sort Of

In exhibition play, your Florida Gators face St. Leo in the first scrimmage of the season. Before real live basketball begins on Nov. 15, the Gators will get to see how legit Vernon Macklin and and Kenny Boynton are. You have to hope these two bring much needed toughness, especially Macklin as a former Georgetown center. Boynton will not be able to fill the void left by Nick Calathes exile to Greece, so you will see a UF squad much different than previous seasons.

UF will play Webber on Nov. 9 for their second and final exhibition game.

Dude - don't forget about the Nimrod

Nimrod Tishman – the latest international sensation for the Gators….let’s hope he is a little tougher than Christian Dreijer. I don’t think there’s many soft Israelis. Somebody better come up with a cool nickname for that kid though….

Current Phinsider Feud Points: 23

Sparano: Joey Porter, What is best in life?

Porter: To crush The Jets, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of Mark Sanchez
