Tebow's Promise Immortalized

It was only a matter of time. But you think they would have waited until the man graduated. From the Herald; (HT: J-Fenn)

Too soon. Same goes for putting up his jersey in The Swamp.

His jersey went up because he won the Heisman. But I agree on the monument. He’s still got 14 games to play.

I still don’t like the jersey decision.

Not sure who The Swamp’s interior decorator is, but the Ring of Honor graphics look like trash, too.

They look like gas station Mountain Dew signs. Plus, they are going to the basketball style lettering instead of the regular block letters. It looks awful.

Yep.

Someone, do us a favor, and tear them down next season while at a game.

Love the inclusion of God.

Hurray for supporting Christianity and any other religion that believes in one God!

And it is too soon. Please let us not have to refer to the Curse of the Promise Plaque for the next few decades.

I never thought of that

I’m guessing it was included since it is a direct quote. I wonder if it was on a building paid for with public funds if it would be allowed. But, “God Bless” probably falls with “In God We Trust” in terms of State use.

Why don't they just...

Rename the stadium after him, use a commemorative patch and build a statue in front of the stadium. You know they will, why not just do it right now?
