Ingram's Season Done

Gator Nation witnessed Cornelius Ingram suffer a serious injury back in the offseason last year, which ended his season and career with Florida. The big time playmaking Tight End took his football career into the NFL in this years draft, when he was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles. Ingram appeared to be getting a second chance to prove his skills to the big league, but in a tragic fashion, the former Gator saw his season, and quite possibly his career end. Ingram went down at Eagles camp, and when the results came back, it showed that Ingram had tore his ACL again.

Star-divide

While with the Eagles in mini-camp and training camp, Ingram showcased his skills and potential to the Eagle coaches. He appeared to be pushing Brent Celek, and if the injury never struck, Ingram may have got a starting gig with the Eagles. With his tremendous offseason work put to an end today, Ingram may also have to put his football career away. Suffering two ACL tears is not good, and he may have to make a big decision about his NFL days.

Many NFL players, and athletes in general, have made strong comebacks from ACL tears, but suffering two ACL tears is not easy to comeback from. Hopefully Ingram can find a way to get all his strength back in his knee, and with proper rehab and therapy, he could possibly get back into the pads and begin his NFL career.

I wish him the best of luck with his recovery, and I hope to see him play in the NFL eventually.
