Future Gators...Future Super Stars

The Gators have picked up some amazing talented recruits for next season. Many thought the Gators were going to have a mighty fall after all mighty himself Tim Tebowleft. I doubt they will still feel that way after reading this thread. Three 5 star recruits already and a couple more are still interested in playing for UF.  I listed several of the star recruits below. Note there is a lot more I did not mention. As of right now, all major scouting sites have the Gators at #1 for the 2010 recruiting class.

FUTURE GATORS FUTURE GATORS FUTURE GATORS FUTURE GATORS FUTURE GATORS

                                                                    FIVE STAR RECRUITS

Sharrif Floyd-Positional Ranking(DT)-1

                         National Ranking-9

·    Ht:6'3"

·    Wt:310 lbs

·    Bench Max:400

·    Squat Max:500

·    Vertical:19 inches

Floyd is powerful DT who plays with a bad ass attitude ready to hurt anyone in his way.

Rivals compare him to Corey Simon.

 Ronald Powell-positional ranking(DE/LB/TE)-1

                                      National ranking-5

·    Ht:6'4"

·    Wt:230 lbs

·    40:4.52 secs

·    Bench Max:355

·    Squat Max:495

·    Vertical:37 inches

·    SAT:1380

We’re talking Jevon Kearse 2.0 here. The guy can do it all, all around blue chip. Plays DE, but can move to LB if needed. Rivals compare him to Alex Okafor. http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Ronald-Powell-67362

 Matt Elam-positional ranking(DB/RB)-2

                       National ranking-14

·    Ht:6'0"

·    Wt:205 lbs

Elam is a blue chip DB who puts fear in opposing teams receivers, this guy hits hard. Elam should continue the Gators tradition of intimidating safeties. Rivals compare him to Brain Dawkins.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-88854

                                                                      FOUR STAR RECRUITS

Joshua Shaw-positional ranking(DB)-3

                               National ranking-23

·    Ht:6'1"

·    Wt:195 lbs

Shaw was blessed by the football gods physically. He has the size to match up with the large WR’s of the SEC, one thing we have lacked. Rivals compare him to Antoine Cason.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-80762

 Mack Brown-positional ranking(RB)-8

                         National ranking-98

·    Ht:5'11"

·    Wt:185 lbs

·    40:4.4 secs

·    Bench Max:295

·    Bench Reps:17

·    Squat Max:455

·    Shuttle:3.91

·    Vertical:36 inches

Brown is a great RB with speed and agility. He is a home run threat, many scouts knock him for his size but as a freshmen has room to bulk up and as all Gator fans know Meyer doesn’t mind smaller backs. Watch out for a change of heart from Brown, he wasnt very happy when RB coach Kenny Carter left. Rivals compares him to David Oku.

Dominique Easley-positional ranking(DE)-11: Apparently Rivals read my article(lol jk) Easley is now a 5 star!

                                   National ranking-107

·    Ht:6'3"

·    Wt:258 lbs

·    40:4.7 secs

·    Bench Max:285

·    Squat Max:550

I am surprised Easley is only a four star DE after watching him in the HS All American game. As most should know he was the MVP of the game. He is also the number one recruit out of New York.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-92086

 Gerald Christian-positional ranking(TE)-2

                             National ranking-48

·    Ht:6'3"

·    Wt:220 lbs

·    40:4.65 secs

Christian has the size and speed to replace Hernandez at TE. Supposedly his hands are like a "peach basket". He will have large shoes to fill, so far so good. Rivals compare him to Benjamin Watson.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/florida/football/recruiting/player-Gerald-Christian-87824

 Jordan Haden-positional ranking(DB)-12

                                  National ranking-150

  • Ht:6'0"verified
  • Wt:198 lbs verified
  • 40:4.41 secs
  • Bench Max:320
  • Shuttle:4.12
  • Vertical:36 inches
  • GPA:3.4

Jo…rdan Haden comes in just like Bubba Caldwell came in, with high expectations to fill from their older brother who had great success at Florida. Unlike his older brother, Jordan comes in as a DB. Hopefully that will give him an edge that his brother didn’t have…he’ll need it. At 198 lbs I am impressed with a 320 bench, and 4.4 speed.

                                             ATTENTION GATOR HATERS

Please be kind and use good grammar.

This isn't trolling.

Your class is very impressive, however, the one guy that really stands out is Floyd. Dude’s a beast.

Yea thats why I put him first. I am most excited about him.

While a DE, or S are much needed, a huge DT can change our entire game on D. If you watched us last year, the one flaw we had was teams who could run hard up the middle. Bama dominated the Gators front 4. Arky also ran very well.
