Vols fan wants to rename waste treatment plant after Kiffin
Now they're starting to come around:
There's no love lost between Tennessee fans and Lane Kiffin.
Knoxville attorney Drew McElroy has filed paperwork with the Knoxville City Council's Public Properties and Facilities Naming Committee to rename a waste water treatment plant the “Lane Kiffin Sewage Center,” according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.
“It dawned on me -- Lane Kiffin told us that he hoped the fans would understand. I thought 'Well, naming the wastewater plant for him would let him know, I think very clearly, we do understand,'“ McElroy told the paper. “We want to memorialize his stay here, and I think this would be doing it appropriately.”
Please be kind and use good grammar.

I am so sick of hearing the Vols wine and cry about Kiffin
Kiffin is brilliant, and now I look for some recruits to take another look at us…Knoxvegas
bq. I love our new coach and the direction the Vols are headed. When you have a solid program and work hard good things are going to happen. Now one game at a time, and work, work work!!!!!!!!
This is Lane’s team and I love it. I love our staff and the commitment of our players to be coached, then play.matamn145
That’s just a lot of fun It’s nice to see a coach with a sharp wit and a good sense of humor – not just to be a good ole boy, but with a purpose.
That probably defines Kiffin better than anything I can think of "everything is done with a purpose".memphispete
Just a few comments from the beginning of the season, when everyone was insulting Kiffin on what a clown he is, this was what the entire RTT site was clammering. Now they are all crying like a bunch of babys. Maybe you should of listened! I wont post all the insults I received over there about how I am an Idiot and a troll just because I wasnt on Kiffins nutz.

What did you expect them to say?
99% of Gator fans that perused RTT offered their condolences and were pretty damn classy about the whole thing, which impressed us all. You were the 1% to drop by in the wake of the frustration and be antagonistic.

I expect someone to call it like it is. If your coach is a clown, say hes a clown. Dont try to convince me that hes “in my head”. And if you did make those claims, and it turns out he was a clown, own up to it that you were just being blinded by the supposed success.

condolences… its just a game, its not like someone died. I’ll admit I dont always say what people want to here, but I never insult anyone or belittle them, I play by the rules…cleary some RTT members are not above that, as I have been called names and belittled there countless times. But thats ok right.

Here's a thought... stay off an opposing team's site instead of "telling it like it is"
but tanton and the other guys were right… you were acting like a you-know-what by writing things when people were in a pissed off frame of mind.
You had no business being like that. When you come off like you did, it’s about as shocking that you were called names by Tenn fans as it is shocking that the sun will rise tomorrow.

Say and think what you want,
There is more then one perspective then your own. You are a Vol fan, so I can see why you think its ok for people to insult others just because they cant handle thier emotions.
As I said several times, I understand it may have been bad timing, but considering I had been insulted several times before that event, mostly pertaining to me defending Urban Meyer I didnt feel sorry for Lane Kiffin leaving, and why should I be sorry for saying it? Being a Vol fan yourself I dont expect you to understand.
I come here to express my opinions, not worry about hurting other peoples feelings over football.

I believe in paying tribute wherever it’s warranted. Name the wastewater treatment plant after his wife Layla cause Lane ain’t worth a sh-t.

it's their way of saying good riddance, who can blame them?
he left them for a team in the conference that we (SEC teams fans) hate the most. The reason I know is well, your just gonna have to click my screen name to see

Only thing that I noticed that your first comment is about being a born again Christian, and yet you find it important to comment on what you hate. I would think a born again Christian would be above both hatred of any kind or lumping an entire group of half the country together as if all democrats have the same opinions or aren’t Christians too. Guess not.

I don't think its particularly hatred that motivates him
and as a born again christian myself, we are free to dislike rival teams. I don’t see the moral consequence.

Well he used the word hate.
Made it quite clear how he feels. Nothing about “dislike”. Not only that, I agree as Christians we can dislike something. But to make your dislike (or hate) of someone be the first thing you tell about yourself to random strangers? Doesn’t seem like you’re in the right state of mind. Not to mention, it gives other Christians a bad rap.
I HATE DEMOCRATS!
Something like “I really love conservative values or the GOP” would have been a lot better in my book. Not I HATE. Just a very negative way to live. I’d much rather see something more positive. It really says a lot about a guy if in a three sentence blurb one of the few things they mention is what they hate.

Maybe
To me personally, saying (i.g) I hate FSU and I bleed Orange and Blue or I love the Gators but don’t like their rivals confers the same point to me. But to each his own.

sorry about that, I was having a bad day
and I wasn’t paying attention to what I was typing. What I meant to say was that I don’t like democrats knowing the problems they will cause
I got rid of the Dem. thing
hope that at least sends a sort of better message about me in perticular
not in my book! haha

I don't really care for their values either
Just think you should be positive if you’re going to announce you’re a Christian. Would make us look better. Something like, I really love conservative or GOP values would be a lot better instead of what you hate. Just my opinion.
