Since it's been reported that Urban Meyer is going to coach spring practice.

I guess that means he will probably coach next year. Ive seen that a couple of defensive players are leaving early so i think the gators need to replace six starters on defense? On the offensive side of the ball i believe i saw a couple of players leaving early to goto the nfl too. My question is how many starters do the gators have to replace? Ive always liked Urban Meyer b/c every university he left, he left in better shape. Bowling green and University of Utah. Good luck next year in what looks like a competitive SEC conference.

Please be kind and use good grammar.

As great as Tebow was I think the biggest loss

is the loss of Stamper and Spikes. They anchored the defense.

Haden is probably the single

most talented pro prospect on the team. I just think that the depth of the secondary is so good and the pure number of secondary prospects coming in that Florida can handle his loss a little easier.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

AJ Green will fill one of those spots

Maybe Ronald Powell will be the other…

We have a lot of talented LB candidates

Shutdown corners are extremely rare. You could put Joe on the opponent’s best WR and forget about him. Remember what Bama did in the SECCG? Julio essentially disappeared after the first play of the game when he was left uncovered (I still cannot believe that happened). Bama’s #2 WR had a field day slipping between Janoris and the Major.

I blame the Bama game more on the scheme

Gators didn’t blitz and in turn their QB was left back there with plenty of time to throw. You can’t ask most corners to cover for 3-4 seconds. Texas was all over Bama everytime they dropped back. Maybe you are right about the loss of Haden but I disagree. They are moving Finley to LB so hopefully that will help with the transition in the LB core.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

Carl Moore is coming back

From this article before the SECCG:

One defensive starter who will not play on Saturday is outside linebacker A.J. Jones, who is still recovering from a sprained knee. Meyer also said on Sunday that senior wide receiver Carl Moore, who has missed the season with a lower back injury, will redshirt this season and return in 2010.

talk about a sigh of relief

oh and Spikes should be our top prospect

by southman on Jan 26, 2010 9:58 AM EST reply actions

I think you'll see Haden drafted before Spikes

Spikes is definitely a great NFL prospect, but corners are more valuable because there are less good ones.

Haden is rated at a Top 5 pick almost everywhere

Spikes is falling as a possible 2nd rounder from what I’ve seen around.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

Spikes

If he falls to the second round, somebody is going to get a steal!

plenty of write up on it in other threads

But personally, I think it’s way overblown. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Tebow is a pro-lifer.

mlb seem to fall in drafts

unless they are cant miss once in a lifetime talent. not saying spikes isnt. just saying dont be surprised to see him go in the 2nd round.

I dont like a lot of things about abortion. As a whole I am against it. But please dont go around saying Tebow will teach you why abortion is wrong and should be illegal. Tebow is not telling anyone they are wrong, if he were that would justify why people dont like him. So dont fuel people fire.

Tebow is trying to inspire people to live for more themselves. Basically Tim Tebow is saying “Stop being so damn selfish!”
