"George Edwards is a tremendous teacher of the game of football," coach Urban Meyer said. "He has proven himself at the highest level in the National Football League, but his roots started at the college level at Florida in the SEC. He is a great addition to our staff and will be a great coach and men to our players."
Chuck Heater is an interesting pick because line coach Dan McCarney will likely be a candidate for the now vacant USF job. Heater also maintains some similarities between Edwards and Charlie Strong.
