One of the best clips ever
I love this play – just because of when it happened….first offensive series of the game for the Dawgs, coming off the big win & end zone dance party USA in the previous year’s game. The fans were in a frenzy – UGA fans hoping that they had finally reversed the trend, and UF fans screaming for revenge. This set the tone for the game. UF would not be denied and Moreno wouldn’t come anywhere near his 180+ yard and 2 TD performance of 2007.
I kind of wish Meyer would have let the timeout thing go and not done anything at all. You know, be the bigger man for once? It also would have sent the message to UGA that you can dance all you want, but you are insignificant to us, because we own you. Instead, Meyer let it be known that he was really bothered by the dancing and had to do something for payback.
I’ve never really faulted Richt for his dance party though – he was just trying to do something as a coach to help his team get over the psychological advantage the Gators have had over them for this long stretch.

I wish as I stated that Urban would have done more. No killer instinct a la Spurrier. He’s never had it and that timeout garbage just solidified it.
And Richt sending the team out for that dance party was brilliant.
The Once and Future King
I love this play...
… One of my all time favorites. The point at the game in which it occurred, and the seething anger/hatred Gator Nation had for the Bulldogs’ audacity to endzone-dance the year prior, not to mention their nerve for believing they could actually beat us more than once or twice a decade, all combined to an awesome release/venting occurance right as Spikes leveled Moreno.

That never gets old.
Once I adopted Tim Flannery. I've since left him outside a fire station.
