First off my name is Alex Schrock and i was born in Blountstown, Florida and grew up right off of 319 in Crawfordville. I have bled Garnet and Gold since i was born and still bleed to this day. To be a true fan of any sport, whether it be college or pro you must stick with your team through thick and thin. Yes that means wearing your gear even in our bad years. Every FSU fan that has jumped ship in the last few years in my opinion can stay the hell away because i don't want you back as a fan when we dominate again. We don't need fairwhether fans. I have alot of family that still resides in Tallahassee and even though i don't live there anymore i keep track of everything FSU. Alot of my family has informed me that alot of fans that live in Tallahassee have jumped ship and that really ticks me off. The sign of a true fan is going out in public after a bad loss, aka the last 6 to the gators, and still be proud to wear those beautiful colors of our school. It's easy to wear it when your team is winning all the time, it takes a real fan to stick it out no matter what.
Ihave a 7 year old son and he loves to watch and root for everything FSU. I have taken my son to last years scrimmage and a couple of games and i'm taking him to this years spring game April 10th. He's so excited just like his daddy when he sees those awesome helmets and those garnet and gold uniforms, we both get goosebumps. And just like daddy he hates those gators with a passion. He goes to u-tube and watches all of his FSU videos and his favorite one is i've got a feeling video and he watches it over and over. His favorite player is Christian Ponder on offense and Greg Reid on defense. We tivo all of FSU'S games and have quite a collection. I hope all FSU fans are as passionate about this team as we are. My son keeps asking me when are we going to beat those gators and i keep telling him soon and to just keep the faith it will happen soon. Ieven took him to the Warparty here in Sarasota and we got to hang out with some diehard nole fans.
Anyways it is sounding positive about the new booster numbers and i hope we can get back over that 20,000 mark again. I was very impressed with our last recruiting class and no not just because we were ranked 6th nationally but because we hauled that class in after coming off a 6-6 regular season record. Ican't wait to see the competant new coaches develop these new players and the players we have already. So if your a true FSU fan, support your team no matter how bad or good they are. Everybody make time on April 10th and show up and lets try to sell this spring game out. LETS GO NOLES!!!!!!!!
