With the 18th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Gators C Maurkice Pouncey. The best center in College Football in 2009, Pouncey joins an offensive line that has not always performed well. The Steelers center is Justin Hartwig, but you don't pick a center in the first round without making him a starter. Pouncey can play guard, but he is a nasty dude playing in a division with two nasty defenses in Baltimore and Cincinnati.

As a former center, we are very proud to see Pouncey become a first round pick. Maybe Mike Pouncey can join him next season in Pittsburgh. Pouncey will also be on the line with former Gator and current Steelers tackle, Max Starks.
