The Gators were selected as the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Baseball Tournament and hosts Regional play. This weekend, UF (42-15) is paired with Sun Belt champion FAU (35-22), Pac-10 at-large Oregon State (31-22) and MEAC champ Bethune-Cookman (35-20). The Regionals are double elimination, with UF playing Bethune at 7pm on Friday, the second game of the day.
The Gators did not play Bethune this season, one of the few in-state teams they did not play. On May 12, the Gators defeated FAU 7-3. UF scored seven unanswered runs in the game. UF has never played Oregon State.
