Maurkice Pouncey denies he took $100,000 from an agent
Maurkice Pouncey breaks his silence with a statement to the Gainesville Sun.
Former Florida Gator Maurkice Pouncey on Wednesday denied he took money from a sports agent’s representative while still at UF.
"I have completely cooperated with the investigation and answered any and all questions put to me."
"I did not accept $100,000, it is an absolutely ridiculous claim," Maurkice Pouncey said in a statement sent exclusively to The Gainesville Sun on Wednesday morning through Pouncey's Gainesville attorney.
Pouncey's denial is just another step in the investigation. Like we said Tuesday, things will get crazier before they get better. The most important thing to worry about still remains the eligibility of Mike Pouncey.

If Maurkice gives something to Mike
say a watch or a chain or something. Does that affect Mike’s eligibility regardless of when it was given? Or would the NCAA have to prove that he received part of Maurkice’s ill-gotten $100k?

Maurkice isnt an agent though so why would Mike get in trouble from a gesture such as that?

The NCAA is worried about maybe that Maurkice bought Mike something with the $100,000 he was allegedly given.

Question about timeline
The first I had heard of these allegations was Monday, July 19th. The Pouncey’s issued a statment through their lawyer denying the allegations yesterday afternoon, July 21st. Are these basic facts correct?
