Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

Two bits question

Which is correct?

(1)  Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar, all for the Gators, stand up and holler; or

(2)  Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar, all Florida Gators, stand up and holler.

As a Gator, Class of '92, I never knew there was a debate, and the three fellow gators I have asked, along with me as the fourth are split down the middle.   And none of us knew there was a debate.  So, I ask, in your world, which is correct, and two, are you surprised that there is even a debate?  Or am i just dumb?

Please be kind and use good grammar.

They do say that “no news is good news”

(Especially during the off-season).

I’ve also noticed the older alumni did not know the alma mater and We Are The Boys until they started showing the lyrics on the jumbotrons. I think my generation (Zook-Urban) was bombarded enough times with the alma mater that we could sing it without help.

Speaking of Two Bits ...

George Edmondson probably would’ve been ranked number 1 if he hadn’t retired yet.

Still, I’ll take #2.

this video is what started the discussion

maybe i’m deaf, but either the male cheerleader or terry jackson, or both say ‘all florida gators.’ then i asked my freshman roommate who said it was ‘all florida gators.’ and everything i thought i knew i questioned. so i posed this question. and the only thing i have thus learned is that many of you younger folks need to learn a little respect for you elders. now get off my lawn.

Interesting. I’ll always say “All for the Gators” though.

The authorities say

It’s All for the Gators

If Wiki prints it, it must be true!!
