The Florida Gators lost four spots in the Associated Press poll, dropping from 4th to 8th. In the Coaches' Poll, UF fell from 3rd to 6th.
In the AP poll, impressive wins by TCU and Oregon bumped them ahead of the Gators, along with Nebraska and Texas. In the Coaches', Texas and TCU jumped the Gators.
The poll that matters, the BCS, will not be released until October 17.
