John Brantley Probable For Florida Vs. Georgia After Ankle Injury
Good news, Gator Nation: Will Muschamp thinks John Brantley will probably play against Georgia.
Florida coach Will Muschamp said Monday that Brantley "is probable for the game’’ on Saturday against Georgia in Jacksonville.
"We feel like John will be ready to go for the game," Muschamp said. "He was really playing well against a very good defense [when he got hurt]. Getting him back is going to be a huge psychological shot for our football team. I really believe that."
Brantley's return would come four weeks after reportedly suffering a high ankle sprain against Alabama, and four weeks is a logical timetable for return from that injury.
In Brantley's absence, freshman Jacoby Brissett started games against LSU and Auburn, getting spelled by Jeff Driskel and Trey Burton, and the Florida offense produced 17 points in two contests, with the lone touchdown coming on a deep throw to Andre Debose against LSU.
Florida is 4-1 in Brantley's starts this season and 0-2 in his absence.

I would say...
Florida is 4.5 – 0.5 in Brantley’s starts…
You may not like what I have to say...but somebody has to say it...
Can he return punts?

It's ok
I’m ginger friendly I actually prefer ginger to brunette. Fooled around with a couple gingers too that was fun. Of course I’m speaking female gingers let’s just make that abundantly clear.

I'm married to one...
But remember that just because your friends with a redhead, doesn’t mean you can use a term that may be construed as insulting…

I can’t believe “Good News” and “John Brantley is back” can be found in the same sentence AND actually makes sense. Who would’ve thought it last year?
At least we’ll be a lot more competitive and we may have an offense after all. But it’s scary to think that the entire Gator offense relies on a not-great quarterback.
Bob Arum would promote Lucifer himself if he could put asses in the seats.

I wouldn’t have thought that until about halfway through the Tennessee game this year.

Yeah...
But will he be smiling or smiting them on Saturday?

Only God knows
and maybe Tebow

Yin and the Yang
The above good news must be tempered by the bad…..Lauren Embree lose the championship match of the tennis tournament…to a UGA player. Damn. That is UF’s most money clutch athlete from our most money clutch team losing to a UGA chick the week of the WLOCP. Not a good omen.
In fairness, the Georgia player...
…was the NCAA singles champion last year.

Yeah....BUT
Remember that tournament was Embree’s until she had to withdraw due to injury in the semis. Nobody was going to beat that girl.

If you’ll search back to the Roundtable Discussion we had before the season, you’ll note that I said Brantley wasn’t the main issue last year, and that he may turn out to be needed more than we realize. He’s no All-American, but he’s no Ingle Martin (Florida QB version) either.
You take that back...
Ingle wasn’t half bad…
You may not like what I have to say...but somebody has to say it...
Ingle wasn't without his positives
He of the line-drive 30 yard punt…though it still beat whatshisface who was so slow he was liable to get blocked every time (precursor to David Lerner?)
Hey, why mention Ingle Martin
when you could have used Billy Young as an example?
So much for being done here...
