The South Carolina fans are already jawing about not getting ranked 1st. I didn’t even know there was a preseason poll much less that it came out in December till someone grumbled to me about it not being right that they got passed over by a team they beat.

I don't think they should matter in football, either.
Rankings can wait a couple weeks for teams to play an actual game. In the grand scheme of things I think they’re only for fans and people who don’t actually watch the games.
I'd agree.
They shouldn’t matter necessarily, but in football especially they do. I’d be all for there being no polls until October.

I just don’t think they should. They’re basically a prediction of where teams will finish at the end of the year, and haven’t really been earned.
I think it's funny SC has so many baseball fans all of a sudden.
A few years ago I don’t recall any of them treating baseball with any of the importance they give to it now, as if it’s equal with basketball or football.

They have a pretty strong baseball following.
I can’t comment on their fans a few years ago.
Florida’s baseball following should be better then it is imo.
