Not too long after coach Will Muschamp's "car wash" in Bristol, he was back on ESPNU's draft day special via telephone to talk about the future of the Florida Gators. Not much had changed - the team was identical - sans one superstar corner and the newest member of the Miami Dolphins - but ESPNU was abreast with questions to ask Coach Muschamp. See some of his responses after the jump.
On Aaron Williams, a recently drafted cornerback from Texas who Muschamp previously coached:
He is a corner that can play inside as a nickel or dime, but also as an emergency safety. He gives his owner some bang for his buck.
On his decision to dismiss Janoris Jenkins from the team:
"You make choices on what's best for the University of Florida. It's an unfortunate situation, but that's where we are."
On the recently-drafted Miami Dolphins OL Mike Pouncey:
What a mark they've [the Pouncey brothers] have put on UF. They are great players and great people. The Miami Dolphins got an outstanding player, both on and off field."
On the largest offseason question mark, the offense.
Johnny Brantley's our starter if we were to start the season tomorrow. In my mind, they're all freshmen again. I have all confidence John Brantley will have an outstanding senior season. Jeff Driskel is great and I'm glad he joined us early when he should be at prom and he's out there playing football for us instead. I'm glad he is a Gator.
On the potential of Quinton Dunbar:
Quinton can stretch field vertically, he has good ball skills, he can track the ball, and he is still learning. He needs to work on consistency and he is learning a lot from other current wide receivers.
