Jeff Demps Doesn't Qualify For 100m Final, Other Gators Do Well at NCAA Meet

Jeff Demps ran a 10.40 in the second heat and will not advance to the finals in the 100m at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships which are being held at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Terrell Wilks on the other hand, finished second in the first heat with a time of 10.27 and will race in the final of the 100m.

Jeff Demps' day wasn't a total loss as the 400m relay team finished first in the second heat. Their time of 38.49 was second to Texas A&M who ran in the third heat.

Sean Obinwa finished 6th in his heat (16th overall) with a time of 1:48.14 in the 800m and will not advance to the final.

Tony McQuay eaisly won his hit and finished first overall in the 400m with a time of 44.87 and will advance to the final.
