Football Recruiting: Rhaheim Ledbetter Commits To Florida Gators
Florida's strong 2012 recruiting class just got a little deeper in the secondary. Safety Rhaheim Ledbetter of Shelby, N.C., has committed to Florida, becoming the Gators' 14th commitment for Will Muschamp's class of 2012.
Ledbetter is a bit undersized for a safety, but hits hard: Gator Country's Derek Tyson passes along a quote from Ledbetter's teammate, elite 2012 recruit Jonathan Bullard, saying Ledbetter "loves to get crunk and hit people and knock them out of the game." Does that sound like anyone you know?
Ledbetter has three or four stars on most recruiting sites, and is usually ranked in the top 25 safeties for the Class of 2012. But there's a growing perception that Ledbetter is underrated, and could make a leap with a strong senior season.
Only Gators has more details on Ledbetter, including the fact that he's the cousin of Florida legend and fellow Shelby product Brandon Spikes, and a highlight video from Ledbetter's junior year. The Bull Gator will have a fuller breakdown of Ledbetter later today.
