We're proud to announce that you can play Alligator Army pick'em for prizes and glory this fall.

The basics: Gameday Depot is providing a $50 gift certificate to the season-long winner and $10 gift certificates to weekly winners of the 2011 Alligator Army Pick'em Pool. The official rules of the contest are available in PDF form, but you won't be eligible to win more than one weekly prize per 30 days across the SB Nation network, but winning a weekly contest at any time doesn't disqualify you from also winning the grand prize. Also, as you will see at the Yahoo! group — which you can find by searching for Alligator Army Pick'em or using the number 22151, then using the password "gators" — tiebreakers will be used to preclude ties.

Other notes: You will be picking games involving the nation's top 25 teams and all the SEC games in a given week ... so, basically, the SEC games in a given week and a dozen other games. And our season-long competition will drop your lowest two weeks, which means our late start for Week 1 won't hurt anyone.
