Might as well forget about Texas ever joining the SEC. Their hubris is far too great to “sink” to the academics of the SEC and their insufferable arrogance will never allow them to lose the LHN.
That is not really about arrogance.

Even if Texas could make more money in the SEC (or Pac1x, etc) they would not be willing to give up their LHN. It’s a vanity issue.
Vanity is definitely John Milton’s favorite sin.

Depending on which map you’re looking at, Kentucky isn’t really southeast. Most competent people who study geography don’t throw Kentucky in there as well.
Louisiana and Arkansas either.
