Leon Orr gets deferred prosecution: Orr will pay a fine and possibly perform community service, and becomes the 97th Gator to opt for deferred prosecution since 2005*. *Statistic completely fictional, but searching your heart may reveal it to be true. (Antonya English, Gator Report/Tampa Bay Times)
Florida rises in AP, USA Today polls: With neat charts showing the Gators' "rise", fall, and rise! (Adam Silverstein, Only Gators)
Scout's commitment tracker: An easy way to see all the uncommitted prospects Scout analysts don't think are headed to Florida. (Scout)
TUG's recruiting report: It is downright mean, except that last bit cuts a little too close to the bone for my taste. (The Unsportsmanlike Gentleman)
Ed Hochuli, in verse: Joe Posnanski, poet. (Joe Posnanski)

They seem convinced that Howard is going to FSU. Are Gator fans overly optimistic that he goes to UF?

I am. But then again, I’m always optimistic … most of the time, even to the bitter end.

As far as I’ve heard lately, Tracy Howard doesn’t even have FSU in his top 3! It’s between Florida, USCw, and LSU. Howard is gonna be a Gator.

He actually canceled his lsu visit and is visiting miami instead. His final 3 are uf, fsu and miami. He said he doesn’t want to leave the state. I still say florida wins the battle but don’t count out miami, it’s closest to home for him and he would start next year.

His top 3 has changed a lot over the process, florida has been the only one that has always been there.

Miami is weird. I mean, they have a lot of open spaces, so if someone wants to stay close to home and play … and other stuff (like bowl games, winning a lot … etc) doesn’t matter, Miami is going to get a lot of players.
