Colin Cowherd is fantastic. He tells it like it is (kind of like how Stephen A. Smith does) and people like that, especially in today’s weak society, can’t handle that.
I remember a few years ago, like 2004 or 2005, he was talking about taking his kids backstage at Disney during that ESPN Weekend at Disney or whatever they call it. He says something along the lines of:
“You walk into the dressing rooms, and Mickey’s cussing up a storm, Baggy Beagle is taking a leak on the floor because he’s pissed off drunk and Goofy is smoking three cigarettes as once.”
It was hilarious.
The calls from mothers that then came in about how he shouldn’t say that on the air, how’s he needs to sugar coat things … were funny as well.
His response to those mothers:
“I guess 11am sports talk is too rough for your family, and apparently so is Disney.”
But yeah, Colin Cowherd is the only ESPN Radio guy I’ll listen to. But it isn’t like I listen to him often, maybe for 10 minutes a year. Maybe.

so wait a minute...
You like Colin Cowherd AND Stephen A Smith?
contributing author - Alligator Army
IT’S PROBABLY BECAUSE HE CAN’T SAY A WORD WITHOUT YELLING!!!!
But yeah, that does get annoying sometimes.
Editor at Alligator Army.
My problem with Stephen A. Smith is he is a racist, an idiot, and acts like a complete child when he screamstalks.
Colin Cowherd is much more of a bigot.

Jemele Hill is a hoe. Am I allowed to call a black woman a hoe on AA? oops.
Jemele Hill and Stephen A HATE when a White person is good at something. It drives them crazy. When Tim Tebow does anything good it drives them crazy. It still pisses them off that their great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-uncle was a slave. Get over it.
Why is she a hoe?
I think many feel she’s sensitive on race issues but I don’t understand why you would call her that.

While I understand Hill and Smith may upset you because they are always bringing up the race card. But the whole “get over it” comment is pretty ignorant and I would say hoe is a little over board.

Sorry Fla but I can’t stand either of them. But to each his own I guess….
If I die, I forgive you, if I recover, we shall see.
It’s because they tell it like it is and you can’t handle that.
Don’t worry though, you’re in the majority.
Editor at Alligator Army.
I don’t hate them because they “tell it like it is”. In fact, I love people that tell it like it is. I just don’t like Cowherd or Smith at all. Smith is a racist and Cowherd’s voice is difficult to listen to. Oh yeah, and both of their faces are also difficult to look at.
If you held a gun to my head and said choose one to listen to or get shot….I would have to go with Cowherd tho.
Well, yeah … I’d listen to Cowherd if given that option as well.
Since were on the ESPN personalities bashing theme, I just wish that all their female talent got an upgrade.
I mean, they are all 50-years old, too tall, have a horse mouth … there is a MAJOR, MAJOR, MAJOR flaw that you couldn’t pay me to talk to them in public. The only decent three are Erin Andrews (who is a little on the too skinny side), Jenn Brown (who has man-hands worse than Dana Jacobson) and Michelle Beadle (needs to get some clothes that make her look hot and not like she fell out of the ugly tree).
Does that make me a male chauvinist pig? When it comes to women on TV … hell yes. If I wanted to watch ugly women who don’t know who their baby daddy is for the 19th time, I’d turn on the Maury show.

I used to love E.A but after the whole sextape thing, meh. But J.B is..yeah…amazing.
I don’t know what got into Wendi Nix but I used to never think she was attractive at all. Then one day a couple summers ago my friend called me up and was like dude check out Wendi Nix on ESPN2 she is smoking and I thought he was high or something…I turn it on and she went from a 2 to an 8 overnight. I don’t know what it is about her but hot damn.
Dude
That might’ve been the worst comment, like, ever.

Most of the time when people intend to "tell it like it is’, they are usually way off and just look like complete idiots. imo.
Although,I do enjoy reading or listening to people who are not afraid to take a side. Even if I disagree with their stance, I respect them for taking a stance.

It'd be nice if they actually "told it like it is", instead of the whole forced antagonism shit they actually do.
Not sure why FlaGators thinks he’s in the minority for lapping this up when talk radio and ESPN have been following this formula for some time.

I said, I’m in the minority for liking when Colin and Smith talk. I’m not getting what you’re not sure at…

I don't think you're in the minority since they're exemplars of all of sports "analysis"
I hate that whole shtick, it’s hard to find any kind of alternative.

Eh...I don't like Cowherd but can see why he's interesting
I don’t think he believes what he says. He also uses pop psychology to make faulty analogies.
Looks like Schiano to the Bucs
Does this pretty much guarantee Darius Hamilton to the Gators? I sure hope so.
Doesn't hurt.
But I don’t think he was going to Rutgers strictly because of Schiano. The opportunity to stay close to home was the big thing, and that’s still there. Still, I think it closes the gap, and you never know what can happen with five days left till Signing Day. Wouldn’t surprise me either way.
