Ah, the Florida LSU game. It smells like...victory, paprika, and garlic powder. I immediately insult LSU fans by saying Mettenberger isn't much better than the Jordan Jefferson/Jarret Lee tandem. His receivers didn't exactly help him out by dropping the ball and that one dude getting stripped by Matt Elam. I don't actually talk about the INT in this game because that was just a shitty ball thrown by Mett.
All the same, I compared the strategy used by Pease vs the strategy I came up with last week to play against LSU. One thing I do want to emphasize is that Florida was 6/6 on short passes with 5 of those going for good yardage. Comparatively, our mid and long passes were largely non existent. The reason for that is both varied and complex (mostly bad protection schemes and Jeff Driskel not pulling the trigger.) Jeff seems, once again, more concerned about throwing an incomplete pass than getting sacked into dust. Both Zach and him showed some toughness after being put into the turf so often.
