Gator Football Podcast 4 (Week 4 Review. Week 6 Preview)

Considering the Kentucky game was...the Kentucky game, I decided I would combined the week 4 review with my preview of the LSU-Florida game. I watched LSU's game against Auburn and Townsen because...I honestly don't know. Like 40 people watch these podcasts though, and it gives me a fairly cathartic feeling as though I can externalize and compartmentalize all my feelings about college football, so I don't annoy my friends/girlfriend/random strangers.

In any case, the Kentucky review was short. Why? Honestly, it's pretty simple. I don't want to bore you guys with John Madden style "Well, what you have to do is not turn the ball over." After the first quarter the Kentucky team basically said good game, see you guys next year, and checked straight out. Not a lot to review against a team that loses to WKU, even if this WKU isn't a bad team. All the same, the first quarter had the same problem we're used to. Inconsistent blocking being the primary problem to which we've all become accustomed.

I also preview the LSU game in which I predict a 16-10 win because Field Goals! Seriously though, I don't think our O-line will fair very well against the LSU d-line unless we come out with just a ridiculous game plan and execute it extremely well. As I mentioned, LSU is a beatable team that has since played undisciplined or, generally, kind of dumb football. Mettenberger has a lot of work to do, and if he happens to have a great game against us, we're probably screwed. If we get pressure on him though, I see him folding like a tourist to Las Vegas that just got raised the cost of their house on a flush draw.
