After a loss to Georgia, Florida has slipped in the Week 10 BlogPoll — to just behind the Dawgs.
If there's a rankings-related consolation from Florida's loss to Georgia, it's that the Gators still almost ended up ahead of the Dawgs in the Week 10 BlogPoll. (It is not much consolation, I know.)
Results for Week 9
Total Ballots: 76
I don't have a list of the smallest margins between BlogPoll positions, but there have been ties before, I'm almost certain; this, thus, is remarkable because the winning team's very, very barely ahead of the losing team, and because it comes after a "neutral site" game.
In any case: Florida could pretty easily rebound and finish in the top five of the BlogPoll if it wins out. There's no way that the Gators don't end up ahead of a two-loss LSU next week, and no way the Gators don't end up ahead of a two-loss Georgia at 11-1.
They have to get there first, though.
