This game sucked. Spencer compared it to shitting your pants. On defense, you can't really say that. Sure, Florida played kind of stupid at times on defense to allow a touchdown drive that was mostly sustained by dumb penalties. The long Field Goal was basically set up by Watkins messing up coverage. Realistically though, it was pretty solid.

The problems were the blocked punt on special teams (which you can put on Special Teams Coach DJ Durkin or the defensive tackle that got faked out) and the offense. The offense is a complex thing, so the problem is complex. Is it the O-line? Partly. The tackles aren't very good at pass blocking. The guards and centers aren't very good at assignment blocking (lots of double teams with players running free.) The QB play has resulted in some very bad sacks along with some missed passes. The receivers dropped some long passes that hit them in the hands that would have forced the defense to play back more. We tend to only run certain plays out of certain packages so we become predictable. Being able to run against a 4-4 without exceptional run blocking is a lost cause.
