Florida's on the outskirts of the top five. Can it get back in?
Okay, so: Florida's No. 6 in the BlogPoll again, but I can't shake the feeling that there may be more upward mobility for the Gators than any other team.
Results for Week 11
You see that teensy-weensy (...yep) .12-points-per-ballot gap between Georgia at No. 5 and Florida at No. 6? It's bigger than last week's tiny .04-points-per-ballot difference, but only barely, despite LSU falling from No. 5 in the BlogPoll and making the Georgia > Florida > LSU logic much easier to put together in a ballot. Simply, there aren't a lot of people who think the Gators are worse than the Bulldogs, despite a head-to-head loss.
Of non-undefeateds in the top 10, Georgia's got the best chance of moving up, because the improbable upset of Alabama in the SEC Championship Game is still possible, but Florida's shot is no worse than tied for second with Florida State's: the Gators can add a win over FSU to their sheaf of them from 2012, while the 'Noles would have wins over Clemson and Florida at home and very little else.
Of course, Florida's offense waking up is probably a prerequisite for any hopes of a top-five finish.
