Football coaches make serious money: Brent Pease, Jeff Dillman and Tim Davis will make just over $2 million combined. The greatest chunk of that is obviously going to Pease ($1.8 million), but still, it seems like we are paying everybody less this year. (Jason Lieser, Gator Bytes/The Palm Beach Post)
Speaking of last year's football contracts: Here is a great breakdown. (Adam Silverstein, Only Gators)
Gators report twelve secondary violations: Pretty much every single sport reported some sort of violation. Mostly though, they were of the "pocket dialing" variety. I guess whatever works, right? (Rachel George, Orlando Sentinel)
Can Alabama sustain its level of success?: Well, Bobby Bowden doesn't think so. But I tell you what, if Steve Spurrier can do it, which he did six years straight (though the SEC wasn't quite where it is today, but it was still a top conference), I'm pretty sure that Alabama can do it. Yes, Alabama will win 10 games a year for six straight years and tie Spurrier's record at UF (since league expansion). They're already at four years. (Chris Low, SEC Blog/ESPN)
SEC Media Day's lineup is set: The Gators are set to appear in the first session on July 18th. No word yet on who will represent the Gators there. You know, aside from Will Muschamp. As long as nothing changes from here until mid-July. (John Pennington, MrSEC)
Max Garcia has top 2: The two favorites are Georgia and Florida. Georgia leads (location) but Florida is hanging in there (academics) so it isn't quite over yet. Florida is recruiting him as a tackle, while Georgia will figure out what position he will play when/if he arrives on campus. (Michael Carvell, College Recruiting/The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
