Today, we learned who that opponent would be: Georgetown.
We also learned that the Gators will meet the Hoyas on a U.S. Navy ship.
ESPN's Andy Katz is reporting that a Florida-Georgetown matchup will one of three game played on vessels in the 2012-13 season, joining Ohio State-Marquette and Syracuse-San Diego State. The two teams will play on November 6 on a ship outside of Jacksonville.
In 2011, North Carolina defeated Michigan in the first Carrier Classic, played off the coast of San Diego on the U.S.S. Carl Vinson. President Barack Obama was among the thousands in attendance, and got to see a truly awesome show.
