Last year, we tried 50 For 50, and got halfway done before things cropped up. This year, Alligator Army is coming back with 100 For 100, with 100 articles in the 100 days leading up to the first Florida Gators football game of the 2012 season, and will run down storylines, profile players, examine history, and make some predictions, possibly all haphazardly. The only thing we can promise is that each day's entry will bring us all one step closer to "Herrrrrrrrre ... come the Gators!"

And maybe that you'll get a couple of these a day for the next week or so.

So maybe Sharrif Floyd won't be Florida's only awards candidate?

Center Jonotthan Harrison was named to the 2012 Rimington Trophy watch list on Tuesday, giving the Florida offensive line that struggled for much of 2011 a candidate for the award given to the nation's best center.

Harrison isn't nearly the most talented player on the offensive line, and probably wouldn't be my top candidate to bring home a postseason award, but he's got a powerful incentive to play well this fall: He could force people to learn how to spell Jonotthan, much as Maurkice Pouncey winning the Rimington in 2009 forced people to learn how to spell his name.
