Will Muschamp told media members on Monday morning that Florida would announce its starting quarterback, and the rest of its depth chart, next Monday. But Pat Dooley of The Gainesville Sun may have scooped everyone on the issue with this tweet saying Florida has its man at quarterback in Jacoby Brissett:
Two things I'm hearing from Gator camp -- Matt Jones is closer to Gillislee than you might be told and Brissett is the guy at QB.

I'd be inclined to believe anything on Florida's quarterback situation right now, but I'm gonna guess that Dooley needed a really good source to go public with this. And if it's Brissett that the Gators trust, it's likely that he's been doing really good things in practice all fall, because Saturday's open practice featured Jeff Driskel showing out.
But, really: There's a really slim chance that this is a smokescreen, a decent chance that Brissett is only leading right now, a good chance that Brissett's built on a slim lead on Driskel, and a great chance you will hear more about this over the course of the day, the week, and the fortnight before Florida's first game of the 2012 season.
Buckle up. Things are about to get bumpy.
