Preview #UFvsMizzou

Florida preview.

The Gators were handled at LSU last Saturday 17 to 6. Offense struggled, LSU ran the ball and controlled the line of scrimmage. Bottom line the Tigers wanted it more. Don't let the loss fool you to think Florida still isn't a good team though. The game was in Death Valley and Florida very well could have won. Key to this Saturday is Florida stopping Matty Mauk (Who is a future star) and this Mizzou offense. Matchups like Hargreaves vs Dorial Green-Beckam are what make the SEC the SEC. James Franklin nor Matty Mauk are Zach Mettenburger so expect the Gators to hold the Mizzou passing attack in check.

Missouri preview.

On the flipside, Missouri did something Will Muschamp hasn't done. Beat Georgia. Missouri is a very talented football team. They have speed, size and play makers on offense and defense. Expect the Tigers to load the box to stop Kelvin Taylor and Mack Brown and make Florida make throws down the field for first downs. On offense Missouri will be fast pace, short throws, read option, then bam! Throw down the field. Us Gator fans know this offense well, Urban Ran it in the glory days.

Players to watch for Florida.

Whole Gator secondary. (Purifoy, Vernon Hargreaves, Marcus Roberson in particular.) These guys can't let any big plays happen in the air. Get Matty Mauk's confidence low and make him rattled. Missouri has some big recievers so these Gator DB's have to be physical. And force turnovers.

Tyler Murphy. Coming off an average game, he has gotta make some plays for the Gators to have success running the ball on offense. Get out, scramble, throw the ball vertically and stretch the field. Tyler Murphy holds the key to Florida's offense.

Players to watch for Missouri.

Matty Mauk. For Missouri to remain undefeated and beat the Gators Matty Mauk needs to make some plays. Missouri has to be able to run the ball and keep Florida's defense off balance. If Mauk can throw for some first downs, it'll allow Missouri to run the ball and gash Florida's defense.

Michael Sam. Same has to get after this Gator offense. We saw LSU's defense get tons off pressure on Tyler Murphy. Murphy didn't throw any picks, however if Florida gets down and Michael Sam causes pressure then that could be where Missouri wins the game! This Gator offensive line has a tough time protecting and Missouri could have succes this weekend.

Prediction.

Florida got embarrassed last saturday on the rode. Expect the Gator defense to play with a chip and carry the offense. I say Mauk throws a late pick Florida turns it into points. Final score: Florida 24 Missouri 14.

Please be kind and use good grammar.
