Ok so the Vandy game next week will be my first ever UF game at the Swamp (been to every game @ South Carolina since like 2003) and it will also be my first UF basketball game at home. This will also coincidentally be homecoming. Yay. Ok what exactly can my dad and I expect for Homecoming the night before and the day of the game? I am aware of Gator Growl the night before (I chose the basketball game because it seemed more fun) and I know they have some type of parade or something but is there anything else worth seeing that Friday before the game? Also with all of the things would we be able to maybe check out the outside of the stadium (meaning the bullgator, the heisman statues and everything surrounding it) and is the Bill Heavener Football Complex opened to the public on the weekends? That's the room with all of the BCS trophys and whatever. As seen in this video
(Frankie Hammond seemed like on of the most down to earth guys)
I just want to check out as much as I can next weekend because I don't know when the next time I'll get to come to Gainesville is. We already have our hotel and tickets so that is good. The only other thing is we have no idea yet where to tailgate. It is kinda disappointing that this is a noon game so there won't be much tailgating before hand but maybe we can find some cool places to eat and hang out afterwards so suggestions on restaurants are welcome. Also are there any cool places in the area I can get some Gator gear for cheaper than you would online or at the stadium? Thanks guys!
