Rise Above the Coach

So you don’t like Will Muschamp, and maybe now you have ill will towards Jeremy Foley for supporting him. After all Muschamp has had 3 years to fix a spiraling offense, and it statistically overall has only gotten worse. He lost to Georgia "freaking" Southern (enough said).

So you don’t like him, that’s understandable.

As Gators we like to think that the sum of the parts is greater than the one and as Gator Nation "in all kinds of weather we’ll all stick together for F-L-O-R-I-D-A."

Well I contend that as Gators we subside on the coach bashing or coach supporting by a couple notches. Instead, let’s support the university, the team, and the players with all that we got. Let’s show them why truly "Florida Never Breaks" and why it’s always great to be a Florida Gator.

Subside on the doses of vitriol or faith in the coaching staff. Stand up for the kids and players we have. Let’s rally to the cause and be the squarest boys and fairest girls, give a cheer for the Orange & Blue, forever be representative of the pride of Ole Florida, and let’s cheer for the team at play.

Perhaps just perhaps, those kids will do wonders on the field. But first and foremost let us be Gators at 0-10-1, 4-8, 9-4, or 13-1. Let’s all stick together. For Florida. For the guys who actually play, and for the university. Let’s rise above where our opposing fans go with their vitriol, and show the world how classy and united Gator Nation is in all kinds of weather.

Note from the author: I am a supporter of Muschamp's and I trust Foley.
