Dominique Easley's knee injury sure seems like a torn ACL, given the preponderance of doom and gloom among residents of Gator Nation today, but we've had no one give confirmation of that specific injury. Until now:
Yea, I can confirm Easley tore his ACL. Yikes. @onlygators

That's Shannon Snell, former Florida player, who writes a weekly column for Only Gators, and whom I trust, as a former player, to shoot straight on this injury, even if I expect him to break news even less than I expected the folks from this morning to do so. Snell's the first person to tweet confirmation of Easley's injury as a torn ACL, for whatever that's worth.
As mentioned before, an ACL injury likely ends Easley's Florida career, and would force shuffles on the defensive line. Florida defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin mentioned freshmen Jay-nard Bostwick and Joey Ivie and sophomore Bryan Cox, Jr. as possible replacements for Easley on Wednesday, and Darious Cummings, Easley's backup, is likely to get much more playing time with Easley out.
