Chomping at Bits: Previewing Florida-UConn, April Fools' Day lament

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

It's time to start looking forward to Florida's Final Four game against UConn. Man, that's fun to type.

Chomping at Bits comes stocked with the best Florida Gators links and news we can find. Got a link we should check out? Email us at AlligatorArmy@gmail.com, subject line CAB, or find us on Twitter at @AlligatorArmy or on Facebook at Facebook.com/AlligatorArmy.

Dick Vitale previews Florida-UConn: So there's one guy on our side.

An advantage up front? Campus Insiders calls Florida's front line the best in college basketball. I don't totally agree, but that front line is going to be massive in Dallas.

The Four's revenge tour: I don't like Core Four for these guys (Florida ain't the Yankees), but the familiar faces part of this Final Four is genuinely fun. (Jesse Simonton, Miami Herald)

Florida bracing for Final Four media crush: I don't think these guys are liable to say or do anything particularly stupid. (Chris Harry, GatorZone)

The $15 waffle and chicken sandwich: I looked at some other Final Four offerings; this is the best one. (Michael Katz, SB Nation)

Congrats to the FLAs winners: Here's a full listing. (Scott Carter, Carter's Corner | GatorZone)

How sports help us cope: A good and honest story. (Rob Dauster, CollegeBasketballTalk)

How Arkansas hiring Jimmy Dykes rankles some: I think it's a decent hire ... but this is a really good point. (Wendy Parker, Blue Star Media)

How Internet sausage gets made, Pt. 1: Or: Lady Gaga's an easy target. (Bill Werde)

How Internet sausage gets made, Pt. 2: No, that font change will not save America hundreds of millions of dollars. It is a 14-year-old not knowing how the world (apart from the Internet media cycle) works. (John Brownlee, Co.Design | Fast Company)

Your Gators moment of zen:

I have no real issue with Florida signee David Sharpe tweeting that he wanted to be a Seminole on April Fools' Day, and I recognize the utility of April Fools' Day. But working on the Internet in 2014 means living through 365 such days a year, with just one explicitly marked as such. I respect y'all too much to play games like that.
