It was really no different than previous Gator losses this season. But Florida's 71-62 loss to Penn State in the NIT Quarterfinals ended the Gators' season.

The Gators defeated Jacksonville 84-62 in the first round of the Not Invited Tournament.

The Gators did something they have not done all season; in a game where Nick Calathes struggled (2-9 shooting, 5 pts), people stepped up.

I mention this because, once again, this is not a good basketball team. Florida lost to Mississippi State 80-71, finishing the season 2-7 in road games.

...And you know who that is.

For much of Tuesday's game, Florida stuck with LSU. But, like every game this season against a legitimate opponent, the Gators could not maintain their pace and lost in Baton Rouge 81-75.

The Gators most impressive SEC win was at Vandy and their second was today, with a 82-68 win over the Dores.

Billy Donovan took away the Gators' practice facility last season. What will he do to punish the Gators now?

The Gators (19-5, 6-3) did not lose tonight because Nick Calathes couldn't stop Jodie Meeks' clutch three pointer and they did not lose because Calathes could not hit free throws.

Tonight's 97-93 win by the Gators (19-4, 6-2) over South Carolina (16-5, 5-3) almost ended that way, even with the stellar play of Erving Walker.
