Florida 101 Western Kentucky 68

Last night the Florida Gators played their first game away from the Stephen C. O'Connell Center, taking on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.  Seeing that this was the first game away from home and the first game against a team with any kind of talent, I really had no clue how we would see the team perform.  When it was all said and done they looked like a defending National Champ, beating the Hilltoppers 101-68 and dominating in every way possible along the way.

Some impressive numbers:

Corey Brewer - 20 pts, 9 rebs, 7 assts, 6 steals
Taurean Green - 19 pts, 6 assts
Al Horford - 16 pts, 11 rebs
Free Throws - 20 of 22
Rebounds - 44 compared to Western Kentucky's 21

Great performance, and now it's time to focus on Kansas (tonight, 11 pm).  The Jayhawks lost to Oral Roberts earlier this season and looked semi-lethargic in a couple of other outings, but this will still be a very worthy matchup and one that the Gators should watch out for.

Anyways, great game last night and I hope it is a predictor of how the Gators will be performing all season.
