Reggie Nelson: Not the Thorpe Award Winner

Reggie Nelson went into the College Football Awards Show this evening a hopeful for the Thorpe Award, an honor given to the top defensive back in the country.  Unfortunately Nelson lost the award bid to Texas CB Aaron Ross.  However, Reggie received a great honor by being named to the Walter Camp All-American Team to make up for this.

Congratulations to Reggie on this honor.  He is the 24th Gator to be named to the All-American team, and the first since Keiwan Ratliff in 2001.  Pretty awesome.

Also on this note I'd like to congratulate Ross on his Thorpe Award win. He was very deserving of it based on the games I watched the Longhorns this season. He has a bright future ahead of him.
