Gator Hoops : Mission accomplished today

Gators were in a must win situation:

Florida must win to entertain any hope whatsoever of catching Tennessee for the Eastern Division title but also to stay one game ahead of Kentucky (15-8, 5-4 SEC East). The Gators will end the regular season at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky's senior day, an emotional game that Kentucky rarely loses. Because the Gators can't count on Kentucky losing another game, it's imperative that they find a way to win against LSU and maintain that one-game margin.

They showed alot of heart by coming back and taking over this game. Andy Staples of TBO says the strategy the Gator coaching staff took with Al Horford was for him wear down the LSU center.

Speaking of which, the SEC East this season has become tougher than ever with the addition of Bruce Pearl who has turned the Vols program into a force to be reckoned with. They must be talking extension in Tennesse as he is sure to be a hot coaching comodity. And, as the Gators have found out the Gamecocks are no cupcakes.
