The CBS coverage of the NCAA tourney can be troubling at times. For example, most of us missed a big portion of the first half of the Gator game yesterday. CBS is not shy when it comes to going to a commercial or giving the fans what they want to see.
As a "Constant"market for the game, we should have been taken away from the end of the BC/Pacific game in time for the Gator tip off. That didn't happen, and as a local station we couldn't do a thing about it. I'm not passing the buck, simply stating the fact that CBS controls all game switches, and when a double overtime upset may be in the making, the network will generally stay with that thrilling conclusion, instead of switching to a tip off. As hard as that is to take when our favorite teams are playing, that's the way it goes.
