Where are they now: Kerwin Bell

Rivals checks in with an all-time Gator Great Kerwin Bell who is now 40 years old.

Claim to fame: Bell threw for 7,585 yards as Florida's starting quarterback from 1984-87. He rose from the bottom of the depth chart to lead the Gators to consecutive 9-1-1 seasons in 1984 and 1985. The Gators finished first in the Southeastern Conference standings for the first time in 1984, but they were stripped of the conference title because of NCAA violations. Bell now is the head coach at Trinity Catholic High in Ocala, Fla.

Has it been this many years? Bell was one who stayed for his senior year and lost millions because of it. He never really materialized into anything in NFL. Who could forget the 1984 SEC season. I still have my collectible bottle from that year, but because of NCAA violations, that remarkable SEC season never really happened.
