We might have the righty version of an Andrew Miller in the fold in Bryan Augenstein broke onto the scene this year as a sophomore pitching sensation. Augenstein's performance this year earned him a slot to try out for he USA baseball team, and he won a spot on the USA squad. The thing about Augenstein though was he was a relative unkown and question mark coming into 2006, and he surpassed Bryan Ball to become the staff's Ace pitcher.
Its still up in the air if we ge slugging 1B Matt LaPorta back for 2007. He is busy playing in the Cape Code summer league while he mulls over weather to sign with the BoSox who drafted him late.
