Interesting article about Charley Pell and the 1984 Gator team that went on to just win on the playing field.
Coach Pell certainly got a raw deal compared to what many coaches today get away with. Those 1984-1985 teams had so much talent with the likes on Lorenzo Hampton, Neal Anderson , John L. Williams, Kerwin Bell, Ricky Nattiel, etc. Those team never got their due despite delivering on the playing field. Not being able to participate in bowl games for all those years, and being off of TV is unthinkable in today's pay per view world of sports.
