SEC/College Football Saturday

Following such an exciting day of college football last Saturday, many teams will look at less intriquing matchups with much less conference and national title implications.  Here is what is on tap in the SEC tomorrow, with much emphasis on what is being said around the SB Nation:

  • And The Valley Shook is very confident going into the Tigers huge matchup against...Tulane.  Following a very disappointing loss to Auburn, a game in which either of the "Tigers" could win, LSU is hungry and should absolutely destroy their next two opponents before venturing into Gainesville.
  • The Bulldogs have a terrible Colorado Buffalos squad coming into Athens.  Dawg Sports breaks down the matchups of the UGA-Buffs game with a little too much information (1, 2). Could the 'Dawgs defense be looking at another shutout against a team who has looked anything but impressive this season?
  • Nico from Roll 'Bama Roll has an interesting post up comparing SEC teams to characters from the hit tv series "The Office."  Also keep an eye on Ken Darby's quest for the 'Bama rushing record.
  • Rocky Top Talk discusses a few things here and there leading up the Vols matchup with the Marshall Thundering Herd.  Tennessee will try to bounce back against this MAC opponent following a close loss to the Gators last weekend.  I have a feeling they'll have a nice game and blow the Herd out of Neyland pretty early.
A pretty slow SEC weekend.  There should be some blowouts on the horizon before the really competitive conference games come about.
